It made me think about the fact that in many family units, financial responsibility is shared equally. Sounds fair, right? However, upon closer examination, this seemingly equitable arrangement reveals a hidden imbalance. Society often overlooks the biological realities of pregnancy and childcare that women experience, coupled with the enduring expectation that women bear the brunt of domestic chores.
